How do I play?

Every guest says where they stood and what they saw. One is lying, and everything the liar says is false. Place every guest on their square and press Submit. Start with the guided case on the home screen. It walks you through one.

I’m stuck

Place the guests whose statements pin them to one square first. Pencil in the rest. A hint places one guest for you.

I think a case can’t be solved

Every case is checked to have exactly one answer, but send us the case number and we’ll take a look.

Today’s case won’t open

The daily case needs a connection. Everything else plays offline.

Why do hints add time on the daily?

Each hint adds one minute to your daily time, so the leaderboard stays fair.

Why am I called “Detective 4Q7X”?

The leaderboard uses your Game Center or Google Play Games name. Without one, you get a detective number.

Purchases

I paid and the house is still locked

Settings › Restore purchases. This also works on a new phone signed in to the same store account.

I bought on iPhone and Android wants me to pay again

Apple and Google can’t see each other’s purchases, so a house bought on one stays on that store.

I want a refund

Refunds come from the store. iPhone: reportaproblem.apple.com. Android: your order history in the Play Store.

Your data

I reinstalled and my progress is gone

Houses come back with Restore purchases. Solved cases come back if you were online when you solved them.

Delete everything

Settings › Delete account. Just deleting the app won’t remove your data. Purchases stay with your store account. More in the privacy policy.
