LIAR

Terms of use

Last updated 26 September 2026.

Agreement

By playing LIAR you agree to these terms and the privacy policy.

The game

LIAR is a murder-deduction puzzle with over 400 cases across seven houses, a free daily case and a daily leaderboard. The first chapter of Ashcroft Manor is free. Each house after that is a one-off purchase. Hint packs are also sold.

Your account

The game creates an anonymous account for you. There is no password. Your progress belongs to that account. You must be 13 or over to play.

Fair play

No bots, solvers or modified versions of the game. No copying or reselling its cases, art or text. We remove leaderboard times that break these rules.

Purchases

Houses are one-off unlocks, not subscriptions, and restore on any phone signed in to the same store account. Hints are used up when spent. Apple or Google take payment under their own terms and handle refunds. A purchase on one store does not carry to the other. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

Ownership

The game, its cases, art, text and code belong to us. You get a personal licence to play it, which you cannot transfer.

Ending

You can stop at any time by deleting your account and the app. We can suspend access if these terms are broken.

No guarantees

The game is provided as it is. We aim to keep it running and your progress safe, but cannot promise it will never go down or lose data, except where the law says we must.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. Playing after that means you accept them.
